In 2008, Viettel was at the peak of the mobile service business, from a company entering the market in 4th place, Viettel becomes the number one company in Vietnam and a global telecommunications phenomenon in terms of growth, of global telecommunications on growth. This is also the year that Viettel launched a completely new business field, not only new to Viettel but also in Vietnam – Data Center services (DC) with the establishment of Viettel IDC Company. Along with other visions of investment in telecommunications infrastructure, Viettel IDC is the foundation that Viettel has invested one step ahead for the Industrial Revolution 4.0 today.

Viettel IDC at that time was the first international standard Data Center service provider in Vietnam. And so far, after 16 years of development, Viettel IDC continues to achieve many other “first” achievements: Being the first largest Data Center service company in Vietnam; becoming the first Cloud service provider in Vietnam; becoming the Cloud service provider with the most diverse service ecosystem. Most of Vietnam’s large enterprises and organizations, many of the world’s leading digital content enterprises have chosen Viettel IDC’s services.
